There were lot of cringe inducing scenes like the surprise twist, three guys who call themselves the legion etc. It's now full steam ahead with Escape Plan 2, as Miles Chapman, who wrote the original, is already working on the script for the sequel, while Randall Emmett, George Furla and Zack Schiller are.

The rest of the cast just read through their lines and put zero effort into anything. He plays a typical macho kick ass action hero's role quite well. I am not sure how popular he is in the east cinemas but he does a good job in this movie.
